What the international press says
“From zero to WRC season in just four rallies” – that’s what the trade media wrote.
Claire Schönborn’s helmet, designed for her involvement in the Junior World Rally Championship in the WRC Young Driver Team, is far more than just a protective element – it is a powerful symbol of her personal motorsport journey. With an eye-catching design in bright and deep red, Claire’s favorite color, the stylish Stilo helmet combines technical aesthetics with emotional meaning. The dominant lettering “CS” on a carbon fiber background and the number 99 stand not only for her initials and favourite starting number, but also for her year of birth and her personal lucky number.
Reminiscence of the 24-hour race
A special highlight is the telemetry pattern integrated into the design on the lower section of the Stilo helmet. These fine lines and curves are no mere embellishment, but are based on the original data from her first class victory as a race engineer in the legendary 24-hour race on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife. They symbolize a decisive milestone in Claire’s career and underline her technical expertise as well as her passion for motorsport.
Personal touch with paws
The WRC Young Driver Team logo on the side of the helmet signals their current racing series and affiliation to the young elite in international rallying. There are two subtle but very personal elements on the back of the helmet: the paw prints of her family dogs Jay-Jay and Tenner. These act as lucky charms – a loving detail that always reminds Claire of her roots and provides her with emotional support, even on the most demanding rally stages.
Overall, this helmet is an impressive combination of technology, personality and design. It not only represents Claire’s sporting ambitions, but also tells her story – layer by layer, color by color, line by line. The design of the elements was realized by Miroslav Houst from Keane Design (KD), who is well-known in the rally scene.
